Day Training at The Dog Standard
If you’re looking for flexibility but still want professional training, our Day Training program is the perfect fit. Your dog will work closely with one of our skilled trainers during the day, receiving personalized, focused sessions designed to target their specific needs. At the end of each session, your dog returns home, and you’ll receive an email with evening exercises (“homework”) to practice, helping you reinforce their training and improve results. This program requires a minimum commitment of two weeks and allows you to enjoy your dog at home while they continue to grow and learn in a structured, supportive environment.

Training Programs
2-Week Day Train Program
In this program, your dog will master basic commands such as Sit, Down, Stay, Recall, and Loose Leash Walking. Over 10 days of training, your dog will receive focused, professional attention to build these essential skills. The program also includes a one-hour transfer lesson to help you reinforce the training at home, plus a complimentary bath in our doggie spa for a refreshing finish.
3-Week Day Train Program
This extended program builds on the foundation with additional commands like Leave It and Place. Over 15 days, your dog will develop more advanced skills, gaining better control and responsiveness. It includes a one-hour transfer lesson to ensure smooth transition at home, along with a complimentary bath in our doggie spa to keep them looking their best.
4-Week Day Train Program
Taking your dog’s skills to the next level, this program introduces distractions to solidify behaviors learned in the first three weeks. Over 20 days, your dog will face new challenges in different environments to strengthen their obedience. The program includes a one-hour transfer lesson and a complimentary bath at the doggie spa to wrap up the experience.
Custom Lodge & Train
If your dog requires extra attention for specific behaviors or areas of training, our Custom Lodge & Train program is perfect. Our expert trainers will design a program tailored to your dog’s unique needs, focusing on the areas that matter most for you and your dog’s success.
Problems with Jumping?
If jumping is a problem for your dog, we’ve got a solution! Our No Jumping Day Train program is designed to address and correct this behavior by focusing on calm, polite greetings. Over the course of the program, your dog will learn to stay grounded and stop jumping on people. We guide them through various real-world scenarios, like meeting strangers on walks, welcoming guests at the door, and transitioning to a designated spot like “place.” Choose from our 2-week, 3-week, or 4-week options to best suit your dog’s needs.
Training Addon
Potty Training
Our Puppy Training Program is designed to set the foundation for your dog’s future success. While your puppy stays with us, we’ll focus on key areas like potty training, crate training, and building social skills with both people and other dogs. We’ll also teach basic manners and simple commands to help your puppy grow into a well-behaved companion. Potty training is exclusively offered through our Day Train program, and cannot be added to the Lodge & Train program. Day Train clients can include this training as part of their program for added convenience.
